[ARCHIVED] Holiday Magic in Siloam Springs

Santa Claus joyfully waves from a decorated truck, greeting parade spectators with holiday cheer.

The holiday spirit is on the horizon as preparations for beloved local traditions are underway to light up Siloam Springs this December.

Prepare to mark your calendars for a day of holiday festivities on Saturday, December 2. Get ready for a musical afternoon as the Siloam Springs High School choirs take center stage at the Chautauqua Amphitheater in Memorial Park. Their heartwarming melodies in a performance titled "Light Up Siloam: Christmas Caroling" kick off at 4 p.m. on December 2, setting the perfect festive tone for an evening of Christmas magic.

Following this musical start, don't miss the highly anticipated annual Light Up Siloam Springs Christmas Parade, presented by the Heritage League of Siloam Springs. Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tulsa Street by the Siloam Springs Middle School, the parade winds through downtown, leading up to the magical "Light Up Siloam Springs" moment around 6 p.m. at Jefferson and Maxwell near Twin Springs Park. Mayor Judy Nation will illuminate the Downtown Christmas lights, marking the culmination of the evening's festivities.

Parking won't be available on Maxwell Street through University Street in downtown Siloam Springs on December 2 from 2 - 8 PM, due to the parade route. Kindly relocate vehicles from Maxwell, Main, Broadway, University Streets, and the Hoffman parking lot by 2 PM on December 2. Any vehicles remaining after 2 PM will be towed at the owner's expense.

Please note, to accommodate everyone, a sensory portion along Tulsa Street, from Dogwood Street to Carl Street, will ensure a quieter experience without sirens, strobe lights, and loud music. Additionally, food trucks will line the Hoffman Parking Lot, offering delicious sweets and treats for parade-goers to enjoy during the festivities.

"We're thrilled to bring the community together for this festive occasion," said Abby Trinidad, Heritage League Vice President. “The Christmas Caroling and the Christmas Parade embody the joyous spirit of the season. We're eagerly looking forward to celebrating with the community, creating cherished holiday memories with friends and family.”
