STUDY DESCRIPTION
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is conducting a study of the Highway 59 and Highway 72 corridors in Benton County. These corridors have experienced significant growth in recent years, and this study will consider if improvements are needed to satisfy these new demands. The study will consider Highway 59 from Siloam Springs to the Missouri State Line and Highway 72 between Highway 59 in central Gravette and Interstate 49.

WHY IS ARDOT CONDUCTING THIS STUDY?
Northwest Arkansas is one of the nation's fastest growing metropolitan areas. In recent years, much of the region's growth has shifted towards western Benton County. This study is needed to ensure that western Benton County's transportation network will satisfy future demands. The study corridors will be examined from a safety, congestion, and connectivity standpoint while also considering the region's economic and quality of life needs. Both the current and long-term future needs will be considered.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
These public involvement meetings will serve to kick off the study. This study will be used to guide state and local agencies when planning how to serve local transportation needs.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
These meetings are being held to better understand the desires of the region. Your experiences traveling the study corridors will help us know what problems to examine. By filling out a comment form, we will have a record of your concerns and ideas, which we will use while conducting the study.
