Beginning August 21, we will initiate Acoustic Inspections aimed at assessing the condition of our sewer system. This testing involves utilizing acoustic sounding to gauge the presence of debris within the sewer pipes.
The procedure involves lowering a transmitter into a designated manhole, while simultaneously lowering a receiver into the downstream manhole. A strong signal received by the receiver signifies that the pipe is in a satisfactory state. Conversely, a weak signal indicates the potential presence of debris within the sewer pipe.
Subsequent to the test, the results will guide us in identifying areas requiring focused sewer line cleaning. This strategic approach will enable us to maintain an efficient and effective sewer system.
