The Siloam Springs Board of Directors has recently created a Utility Commission whose purpose is to assist the City Board by advising, reviewing, and making recommendations regarding the business operations of the water, wastewater, electric and solid waste utilities provided by the City. Utility Commissioners will play an active role in the operations of City utilities in order to ensure that the utilities provide the most reliable service at reasonable rates while also providing revenue for the continued operation and expansion of City utilities.
The Commission will consist of five members serving staggered four-year terms. The initial terms will begin in January 2023, and will be for one, two, and three-year terms.
Any utility customer and qualified elector residing within the city limits of Siloam Springs who would like to be considered for appointment to the Utility Commission may complete an online application, which can be found on the City’s website. or may pick up an application from the City Clerk’s office located in City Hall at 400 N.
