> Total cases= 334,998, with an increase of 229 since yesterday.
> Total active cases= 1,844, with an increase of 39 since yesterday.
> Total deaths= 5,725, up 5 since yesterday.
> 157 hospitalized, down 13 since yesterday.
> 15,800 have been hospitalized throughout the pandemic in Arkansas.
> Top counties for new cases: Benton 41, Pulaski 30, Washington 29
> Vaccinations- Doses received= 2,494,780; doses given= 1,661,921, which is 66.6% doses given.
> 301,388 individuals have been partially immunized.
> 707,072 individuals have been fully immunized.
> Total immunized in Arkansas (partially or fully) 1,00,800. This number needs to go up.
> Vaccines are available in Arkansas. Supply is not a problem- if you want a vaccine, you can get it.
> From the Governor, “We obviously have a vaccine hesitancy in Arkansas. The threat is being perceived is down, so the urgency of getting a vaccine is diminished.”
> We are working to encourage people to get that vaccine, but also call upon the employers to provide information, time off, and even bring a clinic to the site. We need employer leadership through this vaccination process.
>Variants are becoming more prevalent. Isolates are becoming in the variants. There will be more- and many are associated with higher transmission rates and more severe disease.
