> Governor Hutchinson was on a call with WH COVID task force this morning.  

> States will be receiving 5.4 million more doses of the vaccine. Supply chain continues to increase. That means Arkansas will receive an additional 25k this week.  

> Case report= increase of 178 new cases from yesterday, down 56 active cases, up 15 deaths, with 170 hospitalized 

> 330,186 Arkansans have had COVID, with 5,616 deaths.  

> Testing= 2,068 PCR test results yesterday, 1,754 antigen tests yesterday.  

> The Statewide mask mandate has been lifted effective today. This does not mean that the use of a mask will cease. We should continue to wear masks when we cannot socially distance.  

> Please respect the decisions of others to require masks including: restaurants, hotels, government buildings, salons and barbershops, stores, event venues, schools that opt to continue the mask policy, department of corrections, hospitals and health care providers.  

> Arkansans 16+ are now eligible for the COVID Vaccine line.  

> Call the vaccine call line: 1-800-985-6030 

> We want as many Arkansans as possible to get the vaccine as it’s the way out of the pandemic.  

> Total doses in Arkansas= 1,662,850 doses distributed with 1,153,739 doses administered. That’s 69.4% doses given.  

> 409,828 individuals have received both doses, with 769,106 having received their first dose.  

> 80% of students are receiving online instruction in Arkansas.  

> With the end of the mask mandate- allowing local districts to make the decision to continue the mask mandate or not.  

> Quarantine requirements (for close contact) will change on the school district’s new mask policy.  

> You need the second dose to be fully immunized.  

>The removal of the mask mandate does not mean we do not need masks. Continue to follow the CDC guidelines.
