>Up 486 cases in last 24 hours 

>Cumulative total of 74,772 

>6,188 confirmed active cases in the community.  

>2,209 probable cases  

>67,519 recovered, 585 since yesterday.  

>Up 12 hospitalizations to 459 

>Up 12 deaths to 1,060 

>Tested 6,810 PCR tests; did 651 antigen tests 

>NWA still has the most active/positive cases of all the Arkansas health regions.  

>Highest growth rate throughout the state is 18-24 years old 

>You can get COVID and the flu. We need to have more people get the flu shot.  

>Goal is to perform 1 million by October 20. Have completed 897,000 PCR tests, working toward the one million number.  

>Trying to increase consistency of contact tracing.  

>Three parts of contact tracing process. 1- Sample collected, positive results sent to ADH (an average of 3 days, 9 hours, 23 minutes). 2- Case assigned to a nurse and nurse completes investigations (an average of 1 day, 17 hours, 49 minutes). 3- Case assigned to a contact tracer and tracer completes activities (23 hours, 10 minutes).  

>Top 5 counties: Pulaski 80, Benton 55, Craighead 30, Sebastian 28, Washington 26.  

>We are in the 5th week of school. 106 schools have had to modify operations. 83 have already moved back to normal operation. 23 schools currently have some type of modification (not all are directly related to COVID).  

>379 active cases in correctional facilities. 39 inmates have passed away from COVID.  

>Lost wages assistance program. Deadline to certify for lost wages program is September 25.
