Governor Hutchinson 9/3/2020 COVID Press Conference 

>Up 969 cases to 63,081 cumulative 

>Decline down 10 to 425 hospitalizations 

>Up 20 deaths to 861  

>7,827 tests in last 24 hours 

>Top County is Washington County. 211 of the 969 new cases. 81% of the new cases in Washington County were 18-24 years old.  

>Urging college students to take precautions over the weekend.  

>Cluster of deaths from Mississippi County (nursing home) 

>Top Counties: Washington 211, Pulaski 90, Benton 47, Jefferson 38, Sebastian 36, Saline 33, Faulkner 27, Craighead 25 

>Infection in universities/colleges are driving us forward. Significant case numbers from college because of less than rigorous implementation of recommendations. Need to socialize in a responsible manner.  

>Current case count for Department of Corrections- Varner Unit, Wrightsville Cases, Benton Work Release Center have the majority of the cases.  

>Two additional school districts- Jacksonville and N Little Rock have had to adapt learning options. More students have been impacted by weather more than COVID over the last two weeks.
