>Up 549 cases to a cumulative total of 54,765 

>Steady at 499 hospitalizations 

>48,558 recovered. Increase of 792 recoveries. 

>Top counties with 20 more- Pulaski 51, Sebastian 35, Jefferson 29, Crawford 22, Garland 24, Craighead >21, Mississippi 20, Pope 20 

>Up 10 to 641 deaths (3 are from nursing homes, 3 delayed reporting from July) 

>Tested 6,898; received 10,358 antigen tests 

>Daily positivity rate was well below 10% 

>115,915 total tests to date in August – goal is 190,000 tests with 10,000 antigen tests (antigen test numbers already reached) 

>We are testing approximately 6% of the population each month.  

ACHI and Dept of Health and Dept. of Education will have more detailed testing information for our school districts. By number of cases per 10,000, also able to show the trends for the cases and the county level of testing.  

>Once exposed an infected with the virus, it could take up to 14 days to show that you are positive for the virus.  

>Positive test= have the virus, are infections and have been infected 

>Negative test= does not mean that you have not been infected by the virus. It only means that the virus has not decided to make enough of itself to detect. Could still have a positive test up to 14 days out. >Even if you have negative test, you must quarantine yourself for 14 days.  

>ACHI (Arkansas Center for Health Improvement) information has been updated on their website. Including school district information.  https://achi.net/covid19/ 

>Schools have a number of data points that must be considered before they consider their response. Response is not just a reaction to the number of active cases or number of cases per 10,000.
