>Masks- What we are in total agreement on is masks is the one tool we have to reduce the spread of the virus. Masks will make a difference for us.  

>Yesterday 572 new cases. Friday 751 new cases. Saturday 1061 new cases- LARGEST increase of cases to date. Sunday 503 new cases. 

>28,367 total cases yesterday, up 572 cases to 28,939 

6510 active cases- 127 nursing home cases, 958 correctional cases, 5425 active community cases.  

572 new cases- 77 Pulaski, 53 Washington, 40 Sebastian, 25 Pope, 23 Benton, 23 Mississippi, 22 Crittenden, 20 Craighead, 20 Jefferson the rest are lower than 20. This shows the community spread is wide across the state.  

Up 19 to 439 

Up 2 deaths to 323 

5253 tests last 24 hours 

7.5% cumulative positivity rate 

140 hospitalized in NWA. Governor says we have adequate hospital capacity.  

New positive cases (community cases, not correctional cases) July 11-13 Benton County 133, Washington County 211, Pulaski County 205.  

22,106 recovered 

Dr. Nate Smith- talking about masks: Surgical masks and cloth masks are designed for source control. This keeps the wearer’s germs from becoming airborne. They work very well. They are not designed to protect the wearer against COVID19.
