Due to COVIS-19 and the practice of social distancing, the Transfer Station will be closed to the public until further notice. All trash and dumpster routes will continue to run; however, curb side recycling will not be running. If you wish, you can bring your recycling up to the recycling center out side our gates.
The Solid Waste Department serves approximately 4,600 residential customers, 650 commercial customers, and 40 industrial customers. This department strongly encourages recycling. The Benton County Solid Waste District has opened their Satellite Convenience Center next to the Transfer Station. The program is available to Benton County residents the first and third Saturday of every month from 8am to 3pm
Tornado/Storm Clean Up (10/22/2019)
City crews will pick up debris from the storms. Please move all storm related items to your curb and crews will come to get it. Be aware that this process could take several weeks to remove all debris. If you would like to burn your downed trees and limbs, you may do so at your home. Please first obtain a burn permit by completing a permit online at www.siloamsprings.com/burnpermit or by calling 479-524-3103. Do not burn other storm related trash and debris. Crews will work hard to remove storm debris as quickly as possible.
Once-A-Week Automated Trash Collection
Automated Trash Collection. The City Sanitation Department is excited to provide an efficient and quick method of trash collection that will decrease the amount of trash going to the landfill, increase recycling participation and lower worker-related injuries.
A $50.00 deposit is required for a City-issued roll-cart ($25.00 for senior and disabled).
Monthly cost for curbside trash pickup inside City limits:
Inside city limits: $40.80 per ton with a $5.00 minimum
Outside city limits: $45.21 per ton with a $5.00 minimum
This fee includes once a week curbside collection of recyclables (newspaper, cardboard, magazines, paper, tin cans, aluminum cans, and #1 and #2 plastic bottles.) Recycling must be placed at the curb on your trash day inside one of the City issued red recycle bins.
**Use of the City's Transfer Station facility for disposal of the resident's own household trash and other acceptable refuse will not be included in this fee.
Trash and recycling is picked up 1 x week, by zone. If you are unsure of your trash/recycle day, you can view a map of the zones here. All trash must be bagged and put inside the City-issued blue trash cans. Please place trash binsAT LEAST FIVE FEET AWAYfrom any obstruction such as a mailbox, fire hydrant, parked car or utility pole. Trash bins placed too close to obstructions will not be picked up. Also, placing your bin in front of a mail box can result in mail not being delivered. We recommend placing your trash bin on the opposite side of the driveway from your mailbox.
Any trash not placed inside the City- issued blue bins will not be picked up.
For those who have street parking in your neighborhood, we ask that you place your trash bins in the street with the wheels pushed against the curb (wheels facing the house).
You must move your cart in from the curb to your home after collection has been completed for the day. Your trash bin cannot stay on the curb throughout the week.
Bagged yard waste (grass clippings and leaves) will be picked up on the same day as your trash. Please note your trash pickup day in the information attached to the trash bin during delivery or by clicking here.

What do I do with my old trash can?
You can bring it to the Sanitation Department to be recycled at 1108 E. Ashley Street or use it to store yard waste until you have enough to bag.
If I got the wrong size bin, can I get it swapped out?
Yes, but remember that if you choose the 96 gallon bin your cost will go to $21.48/month for most customers and $11.58/month for seniors. You just need to tell us that you got the wrong size.
The Solid Waste Department provides bulk mulch for the residents of Siloam Springs. The cost is as follows:
$5.00 per pick-up load (self-loading) $15.00 per trailer load - 10 ft or smaller (self loading) $30.00 per trailer load - larger than 10 ft. (self loading) $30.00 per dump truck load (customer must provide dump truck and load themselves)
$15.00 per pickup load (staff will load for you) $30.00 per trailer load - 10ft. or smaller (staff will load for you) $50.00 per trailer load - larger than 10 ft. (staff will load for you) $50.00 per dump truck load (delivered to the resident's home - must have City utility)

Spring and Fall Clean-Up Events
Siloam Springs offers a free pick-up service for residents twice a year. This service offers collection of items too large to fit in your roll-cart. These events are generally once in the spring and once in the fall.
