Code Enforcement
The Code Enforcement Officer is part of the Community Development Department and reports directly to the Building Official. The focus of this department is to promote and maintain a safe and clean environment for our Citizens, by enforcing the City's Municipal Code requirements.
Primary responsibilities include nuisance abatement, such as, tall grass/weeds, trash/debris, unsafe structures, unsanitary conditions, health hazards, stagnant water, illegal dumping, inoperable, unlicensed or abandoned vehicles, safety issues, improper storage, and enforcement of the sign ordinance.
Code Enforcement pro-actively patrols the City responding to violations as they are viewed. The Officer also responds to Citizen generated complaints. Emphasis is placed on the resolution of all violations within a timely manner.
The vision of Code Enforcement is to work in a partnership with the Citizens of Siloam Springs in an effort to keep our City a beautiful place to live while in a rapidly evolving state of progress.
