The Kenwood Street widening project is on schedule. The sewer line is expected to be completed by the end of the week including 275 feet or sewer lines and pouring four manholes. Crews will then test the newly installed manholes and sewer pipes and begin to tie in service from homes to the new line.
Residents and businesses should see crews installing the new water line beginning the week of September 25. This should go much more quickly than the just-installed sewer line. Crew leaders and supervisors are very pleased with the rate of progress.
The City of Siloam Springs Street and Water Services Divisions will begin work on the Kenwood Street Widening Project July 10. This project is expected to go for many months and will result in an improved, wider street with curb and gutter. Additionally, Kenwood will ultimately go straight to Carl (as opposed to turning onto 412).
The first phase of the project will begin Wednesday, July 12. This work will close Kenwood Street from Dogwood to Henegar and restrict traffic to local residents only. We know this will be an interruption and an inconvenience, and for that we apologize. However please keep in mind the end result will be a drastically improved street.
